Africompassion currently sponsors 82 impoverished children. Part of bringing them out of poverty is providing a quality education that will give them opportunities for jobs and higher education that they wouldn't otherwise get.
Since 2021, their classes were held in a very small, open-air, unfinished building where they would sit on the floor without desks, books, or writing utensils. This has not stopped them from absorbing their studies with enthusiasm. They are excited to see a new school being built and hope to soon attend classes there!
A Place To Learn
We are grateful for the donors who have helped us raise the money to accomplish this much! We are raising the funds needed to buy desks, supplies, and textbooks and funds for additional startup costs.
Africompassion has plans designed for a six-classroom building which includes offices, toilets, and living quarters for a school principal. We have finished construction on the first phase of three classrooms.
