Clean Water Project 2024
We completed our well project in August 2022 on the Africompassion School Site in the Kogaja Village, Mara, Tanzania!
In 2024 we plan to complete a Clean Water project at the Nyamasanda Secondary School that will serve 600 students and over 2,000 villagers in the neighboring villages of Nyamasanda.
Help Provide Clean Water!
These are what watering holes in Africa often look like. It might be a muddy puddle that the villagers share with the local animals or a crocodile or hippo-infested lake or river. They are usually contaminated by human and animal waste. They are not fit to drink, yet that is what the people have to drink.
These unclean watering holes, puddles, and streams often result in horrendous parasites and sicknesses like typhoid, cholera, and dysentery that they frequently do not have medical access to obtain treatment They often result in dehabilitation from illness, and sometimes death, especially in small children.
By providing an African village with clean, sustainable water, you can dramatically improve the lives of hundreds and thousands of people for generations to come.
Clean Water
Africompassion completed a substantial water project in Kogaja! We successfully drilled a borehole on the Africompassion site. The drilling rig struck an abundant source of water at 460 feet.
We installed two 5,000-liter water tanks on a tower, an electric submersible pump, and a water station with four faucets to provide clean water for more than 1,000 villagers.
A remarkable, life changing project for these good people.
What's To Come?
In 2024 we plan to drill a deep borehole well for the village of Nyamasanda, located several miles away from Kogaja. We need to raise $15,000 to drill a deep well of 300 to 450 feet, install an electric well pump and water storage tanks.
This well will serve 600 secondary students, 500 primary students and a village of over 2,500 people.
